北口本宮冨士浅間神社　Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengenjinja

北口本宮冨士浅間神社は、昔、富士山の噴火を鎮めるために創られたといわれています。神社内には、木造のものでは日本最大となる、真っ赤な鳥居がそびえています。

This shrine was said to be founded to calm down Mt. Fuji, limiting the eruptions. The red torii gate on the shrine premises is the largest wooden torii gate in Japan.
