IZUNO

吉奈温泉は、静岡県伊豆市吉奈にある温泉で、ずっと昔から子宝の湯として知られています。天城山に囲まれた美しい自然の中にあり、近年、おしゃれなカフェが出来たりしている人気スポットです。
Yoshina Onsen is a hot spring found in Yoshina on the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture. From days of yore, the hot spring is well known for it’s so-called Kodakarano-yu, or “the hot waters of Kodakara.”
The spring is located in an area surrounded by an abundance of nature and the mountains of Mt. Amagi. In recent years, the area has become a popular not only for its hot springs, but also its stylish cafes.

 

善名寺 ＜Zenmyōji＞

善名寺は、西暦７２４年、僧の行基によって建立されたお寺です。吉奈温泉に湯が沸くのを発見したのが行基だとされています。
子供を授かりたいと、人々がお参りに訪れるお寺です。
Zenmyoji Temple was built in the 724 CE by the monks of Gyoki. It was the monks of Gyoki who discovered the hot springs of Yoshina. Couples who desire to have a child come to this particular temple to pray.

 

本堂前で、おみくじ（運勢占い）を引くことが出来ます。
In front of the main hall of the temple, you can draw an omikuji to fortell your fortune.

 

コインを入れて、自分でおみくじを引きます。
You simply insert a coin and pull out an omikuji.

 

おみくじには、体調のこと、人との出会いのこと、いろいろな事が書かれています。
The omikuji foretells your fortune as it relates to your physical condition, your relationships with other people, and much more.

 

緑に包まれた静かな境内
The temple grounds are an oasis of silence wrapped in flourishing vegetation and greenery.

 

境内には、湯之宮神社もあります。
The Yunomiya Shrine can also be found within the temple grounds.

 

急な石段を登っていった先には、古いお堂があります。
If you take the steep stone steps to the top, you can reach a very old temple.
